Katasha S. Butler, the owner of K Sherrie and Company, is a Danville, Illinois
native. After graduating from Danville High School in 1994, she studied Chemistry
at Spelman College and went on to obtain her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Butler
University. Working nine years in the pharmacy industry has honed Katasha's skills
for organization, expert planning and meticulous attention to detail. Besides
planning weddings and events, in her spare time, she likes to read, shop, volunteer,
have fun with her friends and travel the world. Katasha was educated in the areas
of mathematics and science, but she has always possessed an artistic flair, an eye
for style and a creative mind. She was consistently called upon to plan parties,
organize professional benefits and fundraisers and design weddings of friends and
family. In early 2006, Katasha began laying the groundwork to start her own event
planning and design firm. She recently became a certified wedding planner through
The Wedding Planning Institute and studied under Lisa Gorman, President of Memory
Makers Indianapolis. "I wanted to be in the business of wedding and event design
because I wanted to make a living doing something that I love. When you love doing
something, it doesn't seem like work. After a hard, fourteen hour day and all I can
remember is how the bride gushes over my helpfulness, creativity and organization
(and what great food and drink I had that day!), I know this is my passion! I also
love the freedom and ownership of working for myself. Planning, directing and
organization comes naturally to me, as well as social graces, etiquette, style,
creativity and artistic expression. You cannot go wrong in choosing me as your
wedding or event designer."

What sets K Sherrie and Company apart from many bridal consultants is her attention
to her craft and excellent eye for style and detail. After receiving her
certification in wedding planning, Katasha continues to broaden her knowledge and
education in her chosen field through continuing education, association memberships
and staying on top of current trends in the wedding industry. She will kick off her
inaugural year by giving away a free wedding design package to one lucky couple.
She will also host bridal planning seminars throughout the year for new brides
wanting to plan their own weddings.
